We want you to have a good experience in your dealings
with us, so we have no hesitation in publishing
our terms and conditions for sales to you, and
your rights under UK law as a purchaser.
Nothing in the terms of this contract affects your
statutory rights as consumers.
Our Guarantee/Warranty
Unless otherwise stated, our Guarantee/Warranty
covers the products we offer for sale against faulty
materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months
from the purchase date. This guarantee/warranty is
in addition to your statutory rights.
Your Order
We will confirm the price of goods and carriage
(if any) at the time of your order together with
an order number, and the total price of your order.
If the order is received by 3 pm, and the goods are
in stock at Tring, we will do our best to dispatch
the same day by carrier. Our carrier does his best
to deliver "next working day" and a signature
will be needed by our carrier as proof of delivery.
We can arrange delivery on a particular day, or to
a work address.
If there is a delay in our dispatch of your order,
we will advise you accordingly. In the event that
delivery to you would be greater than 30 days, we
will also advise you of this, and ask if you wished
to proceed with the order.
Your Right To Cancel
Purchasers, who buy via the internet, mail order
or other 'distant' method, and not in our showroom,
have the right to cancel your contract (order) with
us. Unless the law permits otherwise, you have a
right to cancel your order in the following circumstances:
- in the case of goods, you can cancel from the date
of the contract and up to 7 working days, starting
from the day after you receive the goods
- in the case of services, you can cancel up to 7
working days from the day after the conclusion of
the contract.
You must inform us in writing of your decision to
cancel, by e-mail or First Class mail, to our address
in Tring. You must obtain a "Returns Number" from
us to display prominently on the outside of each
package you are returning. Your responsibility is
to return the good in their original condition, carriage
paid, with all the packing materials, boxes etc.

within 30 days of your notification to cancel.
Our Returns Policy
ALL GOODS RETURNED MUST HAVE A RETURNS NUMBER ISSUED
BY US. THIS NUMBER MUST BE CLEARLY DISPLAYED ON THE
OUTSIDE OF EACH PACKAGE RETURNED.
Goods sold to visitors to our showroom may be returned,
carriage paid and unopened, within 7 working days,
for exchange, if you decide, for any reason you do
not want them.
Goods sold via the internet or any other means
may be returned, carriage paid, if faults occur during
the warranty period. For new goods this is 12 months
from the date of purchase. We will either repair
or replace at our discretion. Goods may be returned
at anytime when out of warranty, carriage paid, for
repair at a cost to be agreed before repair work
starts.
General Terms
We accept most credit cards including Switch and
Delta payment cards. Cheques need a minimum of 5
working days clearance time before goods are dispatched.
Only send cash by Special Delivery post in a strong
envelope. Cash, Bankers Draft and Building Society
cheques ensure immediate dispatch of products in
stock.
Goods in stock are dispatched immediately payment
is taken. Payment is not deducted for goods out of
stock, until they are ready for dispatch when payment
and delivery charges, if any, will be deducted (unless
they are a part order paid for by cheque).
We accept deposits to secure telescopes, binoculars
and spotters not in stock, but payment in full must
be received within 14 days of notification of their
arrival (unless agreed otherwise at time of placing
deposit). Official orders from recognized and approved
institutions are accepted.
All goods dispatched need a signature on delivery,
so when giving a delivery address make sure someone
will be available to sign for them. Goods will be
dispatched as stated in the carriage details below
unless agreed otherwise.
We welcome overseas customers, but some products
may not be available for direct shipment to countries
where officially appointed dealers already exist;
call for further information.
Prices and specifications are correct at time of
going to press, but are subject to change without
notice. Goods are subject to exchange rate fluctuations
and supplier price increases. Unless otherwise stated,
goods are warranted to be free from defects in material
and workmanship for a minimum of one year from the
day of purchase.
Goods to be returned to us for inspection or repair
must be authorized first and all transportation costs
are the returnee's responsibility.
